A Decades-Long Client Relationship Built On Trust and Proven Results

Client Advisor: Bill Ieuter

The thing with insurance is, most people don’t understand its value until they have to put it to use. From the first conversation, we make sure our clients understand its purpose, when it’s needed, and how the policies they are buying will assist them in achieving their goals.

Supporting A Client’s Passions

One of my clients, who recently passed away, was with me for over 30 years. I had the honor to be a partner in his most important life decisions.

We started working together as he was buying his first home. Over time, he got into all kinds of different business ventures – from selling gumball machines and operating a medical billing company to owning a string of post office stores and later, a car wash and repair shop. Every single business he went into, he came to me knowing I could get him the right insurance.

On the personal side, he had me write policies for his homes, his yacht, his life insurance. He even asked me for help to find an estate planning expert.

Choosing The Right Carrier Goes A Long Way

Over the years, this client had lots of claims, so he was able to see first-hand the value of the coverage we had put in place for him and the carriers we had entrusted his assets with.

One time, his secretary was working at his home office and accidentally broke a Chihuly glass sculpture worth thousands of dollars. Because we had his property insured with Chubb, he was able to get the money right away.

Prior to working with me, he had had a similar accident where an outdoor sculpture he owned had gotten damaged but the carrier he was with at the time had not handled it quite as well.

The Takeaway

Knowing how to evaluate the long-term return of your insurance investment makes a big difference.

Many of our client relationships span decades because as our clients’ lives evolve, we are able to advise them on how to build and maintain a great financial foundation in service to their dreams.
